ABOUT MR. JOE HARVEY, PRESIDENT

Mr. Harvey began his fire safety career over 25 years ago as a true American entrepreneuer. He saw a need and knew he had the skills and drive to fill that need better than anyone else; he got a credit card, bought equipment and began his journey. His first company, Tru Clean, would be the beginning of a long line of acquisitions that would eventually lead to a partnership with Daryl Mirza in Ducts Unlimited. The purchase of Facilitec in 2004 incorporated Ducts Unlimited until 2006 when it was divested. Joe was the owner of a spin-off, Facilitec Central, which serviced 16 states in the central US. He quickly began redirecting his operation, this time with a combination of dedication and loyalty that a family owned and operated business builds-on and the professionalism and efficient best practices of a corporate style business.  This new combination led to double digit growth and Facilitec Central was quickly recognized as the largest self-performing kitchen exhaust cleaning and filter exchange company in the United States.  Joe has affiliations with RFMA, IKECA, PAC, and PWNA and holds industry patents and trademarks. He is a natural leader and man of the people, a testament to what he values most, his team. His approach to people management and talent development is unparalleled, training to empower his team to be decision makers allows customers to obtain sound advice and solutions for fire-safety. Staying true to his roots, Joe is always looking to the customer and marketplace to identify and forecast needs and provide tangible solutions, while maintaing a committment to value. He prefers to operate as a vendor-partner with open communication and smart technology that provides customers with reporting, service pictures and location information immediately when service is completed, all developed by his in-house team.  After adding fire protection to his lines of business, feedback from customers underlined another market need, a single vendor for all fire prevention services across the United States.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ABOUT MR. DARYL MIRZA, PRESIDENT

Mr. Mirza is  a pioneer of the industry. In 1983 he graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a major in marketing.   He started out managing Burger King restaurants and after a few years felt compelled to work in the restaurant industry in a completely different role. Like every successful business person he combined his passion and drive to best meet customer and market needs. Daryl started out by mastering power washing classes and used his strong agenda and penchant for hard work to bring integrity and high service standards to become the perferred vendor partner for many major restaurant chains. Some of the highlights of Mr. Mirza’s over 30 years in the industry include being founder/owner of such brands as Facilitec USA, National Fire Services, Rooftop Solutions/Grease Guard and ISM. He increased his business through growth and acquisitions of both small and large service providers, including purchasing Facilitec from Ecolab in 2004. He is a past President of PWNA’s board of directors and has affiliations with NFPA. He holds multiple patents from his years of service and evolution of best practices.

This lifetime ambition along with an incredible partnership has led him to Averus.  This newest success came after remarkable business model improvements and a fresh name that reflects his dedication to being at the forefront of customer needs. Daryl united with Joe Harvey to deliver perfected self-performing services nation wide at competitive regional pricing underscored by innovations in technology.  Now and always, Averus priorities are true fire-safety and ultimate customer satisfaction.  His foundation of knowledge keeps him committed to ideas and innovative products that enable restaurants and other facilities to truly be fire-safe.

Separately and together, Joe Harvey and Daryl Mirza have always been at the forefront of industry changes and applying technological advancements to their service offerings. Over the last few years they recognized customers were migrating to vendor networks to reduce costs and improve communication across related vendors, creating another tier of separation between facility management and vendors and adding costs. Bringing their businesses together with their respective strengths and successes they eliminate the need for separation and are again driving the industry forward.
